ej8 project
picked this up yesterday. its a 1999 civic ex with an itr swap. shes a little rough but already working on stacking up some parts and by fall it should be clean once more. The previous owner had some haggard exhaust on it skunk2 sleeves and oe struts and ebay strut braces.
So far i have ordered a new rear bumper driver fender and a new muffler to get rid of the can.
Got under the car today the whole exhaust is jank. ordered an ebay catback and going to cut the can off of that and got a magnaflow muffler that is similar to the apexi ws2. Replaced the rotted aem dryflow as well today too.

Just rode in this,
she pulls hard for only having 3 ft lbs of tq
but really you better actually make this one a project,
after some rigerous cleaning and body work your golden.
git r dun!

It's a 98 spec b18c-r right?
I'm still contemplating whether to go this route, or go k20a2.

Re: ej8 project
Clean this thing up and it will be sick, Removing all the coat hangers from your exhaust system would do wonders

I helped a friend do some work on that before. Definitely had a few things that were pretty jank about it. for some reason I thought it was a ctr swap though. never looked at the engine tag though.

Re: ej8 project
yeah dude i like the muffler alot too, i had an apexi ws2 on my previous ek but that muffler alone is like 250, this is similar enough. It was 110 shipped and i bought an ebay exhaust im going to hack the muffler off of that. the exhaust under it right now is rusty and held up with a hose clamp and shit. no bueno. cant wait to hear it breathe with the full exhaust.

Re: ej8 project
well looks the like the dude who owned this before me replaced the axles but used the wrong sized one on the passenger side it was too short and thats why it pulled out of the trans. im pretty upset that he put brand new axles on it and didnt even make sure they were correct. but she should be done here soon.
