Bryton's 99 Subaru 2.5rs
Hey guys i started out with a 96 legacy outback that my parents bought me for $700 and i cleaned it and fixed odds and ends and sold it for $2000 before i even got my license.
Then i bought my 99 jeep xj with the money, then worked and saved up all the money for a lift kit and rims and tires, i put a ruff country 4.5" long arm lift on it and 33" GoodYear Dura Trac tires on it i loved this thing i sold it because i couldn't afford the 11mpg
Then i sold it for $4200 and saved up some more money and bought my 99 Subaru 2.5rs 2 door coupe. All this before i was even 17. I paid $4900 for it about 6 mouths ago. it had 126650 miles when i bought it. The car had a 03 2.5 motor from an Impreza put in it. The car was pretty loaded pretty much every option besides leather seats witch was totally fine with me. The car came with an OEM front strut bar, Ebay UEl header, and Tuedo cat back exhaust. Also it was missing fog lights but i figure ill get covers. The Subaru is debaged of the truck also and came with a replica v6 wing that just needs painted

How it looks Today
OEM replacement clutch and a ACT streetlight flywheel. ACT StreetLite Flywheel: 13.4 Pounds stock is almost 26
Rear strut bar.
Kartboy lightweight crank pulley arrived today. I chose to go with the kartboy one cause its not as light as the others. And I didn't want it to throw codes cause of the light weight flywheel and crank pulley combo, i think i got a good combo a not super light crank pulley and a not super light flywheel but both dramatically lighter than stock ones. Kartboy Crank Pulley: 2.4 Pounds
Auto meter A pillar double gauge pod, i put an auto meter ultra light gauges in it, Oil pressure and Oil temp. Till i swap
STI fog light covers, gone now
Deleted a cat

After:
My v6 wing today, it took some getting used to but i am really liking it.
wingless is not my look
I am liking the v6 look
Old intake
-I got OEM STI floor mats
-Paranoid Fabrications Grounding Kit
I love the mats they look and fit really good! All i can say about the grounding kit is wow! it smooths stuff out a lot! the grounding kit along with the delete gave me a slight power increase![/QUOTE]
WRX 20mm rear sway bar

SO i finally got tired of my crappy Wal Mart all seasons that are super hard that came with my car. So i started looking for tires and came across the Hancook Venus V12 ties for 400 shipped and an $80 rebate so i was like sweet $320 for a set up high performance summer tires. i started re searing on them and people have wrote good reviews on them so i bought them and will put them on in the spring. I bought them in the stock 205/55/16 size.
Body work
Lt quarter
It was cut out after this and new metal welded in but i didn't take a picture.

Sun roof filled in smoothed and primed.
So since i had my fenders off i decided i would build some fender brace's since i can build them for free since my uncle can get me free steel. So i build these, they are made out of 1/8" plate and 7/8" round tubing. they are super beefy
Plates:
Pipe squished and welded on:
Cleaned up and primed and painted:
Comparison:
Overall i am vary happy with how they turned out.
The passenger side is about 90% ready

Base coat
How it looked last night after being wet sanded and stage 3 buffed.
Well i had to take her in for surgery she got 20 stitches
End product
Crawford Performance reflash
look whats inside
Front
They are all in and installed now, i got 3/8th's spacers for the rear so it will look high till it sags.
So i have decided to swap! i bought a short block with some extra parts first for $620.
I am planning on putting new rod an main bearings in it to make sure the engine will be strong and run for a long time.
I also bought a complete engine that had a rod knock for $550.
So i got all my parts in today to start putting the short block back together.
OEM Engine Gasket Kit
ACL Main and Rod Bearings
Water pump
Also got a timing belt
Made sure everything was super clean then lubed well
All together and torqued
Clean pistons
Got the crank in and sealed the block and torqued the block bolts and then put pistons in.
Shortblock
Heads cleaned up, and Clean up ported them and painted them.
Longblock
Complete
So i was looking at prices on Exhaust cross overs and decied i could make one my self a lot cheaper. This hole thing cost me $30p
Flanges cut off and made to fit the new 2" pipe
The pipe getting back from being bent
All welded up
WRX wiring harness
TD04, it has super low miles 5000 miles its basically brand new!

I was wondering why this thing sounded so mean driving down the road. You got full headers and an exhaust. She already sounds wrx swapped. lol You did a fantastic job on the body work, very impressive. She is going to fly with that boost bra!
